Desert Regional Medical Center is dedicated to the continuous improvement in the health and well-being of the communities it serves. Founded in 1948, the hospital is home to the Coachella Valley’s only designated trauma center and the regions only intensive care unit for newborns. Desert Regional Medical Center offers an array of services including: 24-hour emergency care, a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences, bariatric specialists, the El Mirador Imaging Center, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. In addition, Desert Regional has expanded outpatient services to La Quinta Medical Center, with satellite offices for the Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Advanced Wound Healing Center and La Quinta Imaging.
